MEDIARAZZI is especially useful if you operate one or more tube sites and want to run your own house promotions, sold sponsorships, subscriptions, or approved affiliate commercials inside a VAST-compatible player.
Before changing your site
Check which player your theme actually uses. A WordPress theme name is not always the player name. Open the player settings and look for a VAST advertising field. Confirm whether the player supports VAST 3.0 linear MP4 ads, and whether Ad Pods and skip offsets are supported.
First installation
- Create a short commercial with a suitable MP4 and optional affiliate landing URL.
- Copy its MEDIARAZZI VAST tag.
- Back up the site's advertising settings.
- In the CMS or player settings select pre-roll and paste the tag. Do not paste the tag in the main video source or poster-image field.
- Test on desktop and mobile, including a private browsing window with ad blockers disabled for testing.
- Try the commercial's click-through and confirm your Statistics record real playback events.
- Test with a second theme/player or browser before applying the configuration to every site.
Multiple tube sites
Give each site or placement a distinct sid or saved tag. Example: ?sid=tube-site-02&subid=homepage&platform=web&placement=preroll. These values help classify events; they do not guarantee the player will run the ad at that placement.
Affiliate and content considerations
Use advertising destinations and video creatives permitted by your affiliate programs, hosting providers, ad policies, and applicable laws. Avoid forced or deceptive clicks. Do not assume playback events equate to billable or unique human views.
Common error
Some video players show a video but never fire VAST tracking because the MP4 was installed as content, not as an advertisement. Always use the player’s advertising integration.
