JW Player (JWX)

Configure a commercial VAST player, including sequenced Ad Pods.

JW Player is a commercial player platform with advertising integrations. Available setup options, supported formats and licensing vary by product version.

Integration procedure

  1. Confirm your JW Player account, license and advertising plugin supports the intended VAST setup.
  2. Open the player or playlist advertising settings.
  3. Configure a pre-roll VAST tag using the MEDIARAZZI public URL.
  4. Verify any required ad client type, e.g. VAST versus IMA, in your product version.
  5. Run a real playback test, including Ad Pod sequencing if your integration supports it.
  6. Inspect the player event logs and MEDIARAZZI Statistics.

A sequential Ad Pod is one VAST response containing multiple sequenced <Ad> elements. Do not try to achieve the same result merely by entering several separate URLs unless the player’s own scheduling UI explicitly expects that.
