Step by step
- Copy an active commercial VAST tag.
- Open Developer Tools and select VAST Testing Lab.
- Paste the URL and analyze it to inspect the XML, media and tracking URLs.
- Test the tag with a real VAST-capable player or Google IMA tester.
- Check video start, audio, skip, click-through and completion.
- After a real test, inspect Statistics for reported events.
Tips and common mistakes
- The native preview in the Testing Lab is not proof of complete VAST-player compatibility.
- Use signed test mode when available to avoid adding test activity to normal statistics.
